I’ve known Karen from Eye of Luna for years, so when she asked me to do a branding session for her, I was super excited! Karen is a really talented hair and makeup artist, and has also done fashion week in Milan and NYC! She always comes prepared, with a vision, a smile, and has a calm and patient demeanor (so important for working in high stress situations…like fashion week or busy weddings!) When clients ask me for hair and MUA referrals, she’s always at the top of my list. And, when I do styled shoots, Karen is always one of my favorites to work with! Her work is clean, classic and so beautiful!
When planning this session, we knew there would be a lot of content to capture. I always recommend planning branding sessions in sections. For this branding session, we planned to capture the sections as: 1 – hair and makeup tools (the details!), 2 – getting models ready, 3 – a model styled shoot, 4 – portraits with Karen’s team, and 5 – portraits of just Karen!
With so much to capture in just a few hours, organization is key! Planning and laying everything out ahead of time is so important. Aside from us organizing the day, Karen also came organized and had everything laid out and ready to go (like always!). Scroll down for some serious branding session inspiration!
