I just love all of the details of this beautiful bridal shower that took place at The Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, CT. Mackenzey is one of our sweet KSP brides and her bridal shower was planned with the sweetest details! Everything from the florals, the cookies, food, and her absolutely gorgeous dress and accessories were perfectly classic and timeless (my fav!).
Bridal showers are such a special and memorable part of getting married! It’s that special time that you get to spend and celebrate with your family and close friends. You want to make sure to enjoy all of it, so here are a 5 tips for planning your bridal shower!
5 Tips for Planning Your Bridal Shower
Photography – I always suggest at least 2 hours of coverage. This will allow enough time to capture your details (the venue, florals, food, tablescapes, etc.), candid photos, speeches / toasts, a mini-session with the bride-to-be, and portraits with your close family and bridal party (plus any other portraits you’d like!).
Your Outfit – Plan an outfit that you will always love! I always suggest going with an outfit that’s timeless and classic because you can never go wrong! Adding accessories is always a plus too (hats, jewelry, a nice pair of heels, etc.).
Polish your ring! – You may not be thinking of it just yet, but it’s always a good time to polish your engagement ring for your bridal shower. Your photographer may capture images of it, plus you’ll want to show it off and have it extra sparkly!
Match the theme of your wedding – This isn’t a must-do, but it’s always nice when your bridal shower matches the theme / color palette of your wedding day! It makes for images that will flow together when you look through later on and will look beautiful on the wall together.
Relax & Have fun! Prepare everything ahead of time so that you can focus on your guests and having fun at your bridal shower! Enjoy the food, conversation, games and laughing with your loved ones! This will be such a memorable day and you’ll want to always look back with fond memories!
