The Perfect Spot for an Engagement Session
One of my absolute favorite spots for photography is Southport, and this Southport, Connecticut engagement session did not disappoint! It’s one of my all-time favs and is some serious inspo for future brides & grooms!
About Southport
Southport is rich in history, New England charm, and has stunning architecture. Every house, building and church is unique in itself, making it the perfect backdrop for a nautical New England session! Add in the Pequot Point Yacht Club along the water and Perry’s Green Park, and you have the added bonus of all the beautiful boats to watch and use as a backdrop for photos. When I shoot in this area, we always go for a walk around the neighborhoods and end up at a tiny little beach off of a dog park which sits along Long Island Sound. It’s quiet, quaint and the always has the perfect glow for sunny days with gorgeous sunsets! It’s truly a hidden gem in Fairfield County.
Julie & Tim (& their adorable pups too!)
Shooting with Julie & Tim was an absolute dream and we got SO lucky! On the day of the session, just as we were heading out the door, it started to rain. But luckily, by the time we started shooting the rain stopped and the most beautiful sunset glow came out! Julie was so laid back and comfortable in front of the camera, and I was so impressed with Tim. From the pictures, it’s apparent they have great chemistry and are so in love. An added bonus were their sweet pups that they brought to the session! We arranged ahead of time for Nick and Mila (my husband and daughter) to come along to go on a walk while I photographed this session. When we didn’t need the pups in the photos, Nick stepped in and watched the dogs, while Mila enjoyed watching them play (she’s a huge dog fan!).
Congratulations Julie & Tim!
