Wedding Invitations with Basic Invite

It’s that time of year ..Wedding Season! As a wedding photographer, it’s one of the most exciting times of the year, and I absolutely love receiving the wedding invites from our couples. One of my favourite elements of photographing a wedding is photographing the details. That means, invitational suites!

I recently came across Basic Invites and ordered some samples to check out their quality, and I was so impressed! Their website is easy to navigate and they have over 1000 gorgeous wedding invites to choose from. Plus, they have a serious array of colours (they have over 180 colour options and the colours can be easily changed on the templates!). So, today I thought I’d share the samples I ordered, and discuss some of the highlights of Basic Invites.

Water Rose Invitational Suite

I thought these invites were perfect for a spring and summer wedding because of their fun colours and floral design. I wanted the envelope to have a pop of colour, so after debating on what to choose (there are over 40 colour options), I decided to go with the pink to set it apart. The Bonus: The envelopes are peel and stick for quick closing, making life so much easier! Extra Bonus: They have a free address collection service making it super easy to get your addresses from friends and family and printed. (Just share a link, collect the addresses and then the envelopes are printed for free!)

Next, I decided to choose a classic invitation. Nick and I went with the same colour scheme for our wedding, so I may be a bit bias! With that being said, the thickness of this invite is substantial! The thickness of it makes it feel luxurious. (The paper option is double thick matte.) Plus, there’s also the option for foil, including new rose gold foil too!

Watercolour Pines Invitational Suite

I also wanted to choose something that would be a bit more rustic and nature-like, so I opted with a woodsy wedding invite, which would be perfect for a fall or outdoor wedding. While doing this, I discovered one of the coolest parts of Basic Invite –  the ability to create a wedding website that matches your wedding invitations. (There are over 180 template options for wedding websites and they’re free too!)

Lilac Dip-Dye Invitational Suite

And, my favourite invitational suite for last! I chose the velvet luxe paper option for this invite because I wanted to see if it would actually feel like velvet. And, I guarantee that it does! I was really impressed and showed Nick and he was impressed with it’s velvety-feel too. If you decide to order your own samples, you can also choose from wedding menus, wedding programs, thank you cards, and so much more. Plus, they have matching save the date postcards that go along with the invitational suites!

There are so many other great highlights Basic Invites offers which sets them apart, like their Send and Seal Wedding Invitations (making life so much easier for you!), Keepsake Guest Books, and Printed Wedding Coasters.
