You may notice these adorable floofballs (also known as Samoyeds) and their sweet humans in this adorable Rowayton family session! I had the pleasure of photographing Evan and Polly last year too (you can check out that session here)! This couple is one of the sweetest couples to work with, and I always love chatting with them and the energy their dogs bring to the session. Having 4 dogs myself (one being a husky), I can totally appreciate how excited snow dog breeds get at the sight of other humans! And so, our session is always filled with so much fun, love and adventure.
If you’re planning your own family session, I always encourage families to bring their dogs with them. To me, they’re an important part of the family, and they always get so excited to get their “pawtrait” done. As a photographer and fellow dog lover, I swear dogs totally know they’re having a special moment when they have their photo taken. It always makes me laugh to see them sit and pose a certain way and even “smile” for the camera! And, I promise that as time goes on, you’ll never regret bringing your sweet furry-child to your session. You’ll always look back with fond memories and smile at your own floofball!
Tips for Bringing your Dog to a Session!
Tips for bringing your dog to a photo session! (Polly was super prepared for our Rowayton Family Session!) Make sure to bring your dogs favorite toys and treats to help your photographer get their attention. And, before your session, make sure your dog’s collar and leash match your outfit and their collars! This will help make your session look more polished and styled. If you want to get extra creative, you can add in a floral collar or bow-tie around your dogs neck too!
