Welcome to the World Baby Charlee!
Sweet baby Charlee’s Hudson Valley newborn lifestyle session is one of my favorite! A few months ago, Kelly reached out to me and we started planning a newborn lifestyle session for her daughter. She knew she wanted it at Rockwood Hall in New York and she had an exact vision for her session. Kelly has such a great eye and completely styled her session with the everything from the perfect outfits, to matching head bows, baby Moses basket, and even matching leashes for her sweet pups, Paige & Bella. (Side note: they brought their dogs, and if you know me, you’ll know that I absolutely LOVE this!)
Charlee’s Time To Shine!
When it came time to shoot the session, it just happened to fall on a chilly spring day. This past spring, the weather was everywhere, up and down with warm and cold days, and it seemed to rain on almost ALL of the days I had a session booked! Due to this, we had to reschedule the session, and I was so worried we’d have to reschedule again. Thankfully, the rain held out the second time!
Charlee was the best little baby throughout the session. She cooperated and slept a lot of the time, and then opened her beautiful blue eyes for the camera too! And, Charlee’s furblings – Paige & Bella were also on their best behavior. They enjoyed watching out and guarding their new human sibling!
One tip I always suggest for couples bringing their dogs to a session: if your pup isn’t great at being tied up, try to bring along a friend or family member to hold them. Kelly & John brought Kelly’s dad along, and it helped to keep the dogs calm when they weren’t in the photos, and it also helped to get their attention. Big bonus for the dogs: they LOVED being with their grandpa while waiting for their turn to shine!
