This is such a sweet family & 2nd birthday session! When Kathy reached out to me and asked if I could capture their family photos again, I was so excited, and honored! Back in 2021, I captured Kathy’s maternity session (which we combined with a family session), and this time, we captured her family and daughter’s 2nd birthday! We came full circle, and it was so special to see little Valentina growing up and interacting with her big brother Sebastian (he’s the sweetest big brother!).

We captured this session at Waveny House in New Canaan, CT. It’s one of my favorite venues because it offers such a vast backdrop for photos. From the beautiful mansion, to the gardens and fields, the gorgeous stone walls and little stone buildings. I could spend hours walking around capturing photos with different backdrops! It’s also sentimental because I’ve done my own family photos there a number of times & have had some of the best and sweetest family memories there!

We planned the session a bit around the previous shoot we did, which you can see here! We made sure to capture a few photos as “re-dos”, but this time with Valentina! It turned out beautiful, and the weather gave us yet another beautiful day with golden sunlight and a perfect sunset!
