This wedding was such a beautiful day from start to finish! Kathleen and Josh got married at The Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan, Connecticut. This venue is filled with New England charm and is so quaint and has such a great set-up for weddings! And, the food is also always so good! The bonus, there are so many beautiful spots around the venue for photos, and even the indoors is set up beautifully for photography (Lots of natural light too! A photographer’s dream!).
For Kathleen & Josh’s wedding, they not only chose to do a first look between them, but Kathleen also chose to do a first look with Kathleen’s dad. It was so special! Seeing a father look at his daughter as a bride for the first time is one of the sweetest moments (along with the father-daughter dance). Literally, ever single time I watch a dad see his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, I think of what it will be like to see my own husband see my girls in their wedding dresses some day – it’s such a special and memorable life moment! I can only imagine how special it must be for the dads. It’s one of the reasons I always suggest doing a father-daughter first-look too!
The Roger Sherman Inn has such a beautiful lawn for wedding ceremonies. It’s perfectly shaded, but also has lots of natural light coming in and is surrounded by beautiful nature and the gorgeous venue. Kathleen & Josh’s florals were so beautiful, and added to the natural beauty of the venue. And, their ceremony was also so special! The pure joy on their faces truly showed how excited and in-love they are, and I loved capturing them walk back up the aisle after getting married! Their evening went on to have lots of partying, laughter and fun (as you can see from the photos!). Congratulations to Kathleen & Josh!
