When I met Alyson and Jessie, they were already married, but wanted a special Central Park wedding session in New York City. We planned and designed the wedding session, and then ended up shooting on probably the hottest day in July! But, Alyson and Jessie were amazing, and powered through the heat with smiles on their faces! It was well worth it, because both of them were stunning and their session turned out to be one of my favorite styled wedding portrait sessions!
Planning & Styling The Central Park Wedding…
I first met Alyson because she is a wedding dress designer and owner of Alyson Nicole. (If you’re getting married, you need to check out her dresses!) She designed and made her own wedding dress, and I absolutely loved how timeless and elegant it was. For me, the best part of her wedding dress is the touch of blue. She added a delicate light blue layer of silk underneath the lace on the train of her dress. I think it’s so beautiful and unique, and I love that it’s something I’ve never captured before!
We added in other special touches like the dainty floral crown, the matching blue ring box, and matching invitation suite. And, to top it off, we used Alyson’s gorgeous blue wedding ring as a detail. For the dessert, we wanted something that wouldn’t melt in the heat and would be easy to carry. So, macarons ended up being the perfect final touch!
